Sick Again!

Our little boy is sick… again! Since this year has started, our little boy has become a sickly boy. Just today, he went home early from school because he vomited twice in school and the nanny said that on their way and from school, he vomited several times. I feel so awful for being helpless and not knowing what to do. Here in the house, he threw up for at least four times already. My hubby said he might be having gastritis or colic. His tummy is bulging and when we drum our fingers on it, it thumps… so he has colic. We have already given him medicine but he threw it up as well. He hasn’t even eaten lunch, even milk. Oh my! But he’s actually fine, not feverish and all. He just has colic. Both my husband and I feel pity for our little boy. I just hope that he’ll be okay by tomorrow, and that means, he will be absent in school… again! 🙁

Please do help us pray for our little boy… thanks friends.

Fashion and Passion Online’s Birthday Giveaway

So finally, I am convinced! Of joining Fashion and Passion Online’s Birthday and Beauty Giveaway. If my memory serves me right, I think this is only my third time to join contests and giveaways online. At first, I was skeptical about such online contests, until…. just last January, I won a dot.com domain and a free year of web hosting!!! It was my first time to join an online contest and well, blessed enough, I won!

So now, I am joining this beauty giveaway from a blogger friend. She just recently celebrated her birthday and she invited me to join her contest. And since it’s a beauty giveaway, it entails about none other than, beauty!!! I am actually tasked to talk about how I take care of my skin… oh my!!!! I’m such a loser when it comes to taking care of my skin… 🙂 hehehe… Okay, but since we all do take care of our skin, I just want to share to you what I usually do to keep my skin in “good shape.”

First, hydrate. I drink, as much as I can, at least eight glasses of water every day! I’ve read over and over that nothing beats hydrating the skin by drinking lots of water.

Second, I wash my face with soap and water at least twice a day. This somehow gets rid of the dirt that clogs the pores. When I was still teaching, I would always wash my face every break time because of all the chalk dust.

Third, I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Do I need to tell you the benefits of doing so?? Hehehe… we all know that eating fruits and veggies makes us healthy.

Honestly, I can’t think of anything else… hehehe… those are just what I regularly do. I don’t have any beauty regimen, I am too lazy to put on creams and moisturizers and stuff like that on my skin… I have this feeling or notion that if I do, when I get to the age of 40 or 50 or even 60, I would look much older… No offense meant to those who use them, but I am just afraid of putting on chemicals on my face and skin.

Hmmmm… so I guess, that’s just about it! I am hoping to win, but most of all, I am just happy that I’m able to share my “beauty secret.”

Two Pinoys in American Idol 10 Top 24

It’s a happy feeling and I feel proud of being a Filipino, three reasons why. First, today is the 25th anniversary of the People Power in Edsa, second and third respectively are the two Filipinos who made it to the Top 24 of American Idol season 10. They are Clint Jun Gamboa and Thia Megia.

Clint Jun Gamboa is from Long Beach, California, he wowed the judges in his audition in San Francisco. He is a karaoke host, so no wonder he sings well. He is also best known for his wide array of cool eyewear. His audition song was Travie McCoy’s Billionaire.

Thia Megia on the other hand is only 15 years old and hails from Milwaukee. She impressed the three judges with her rendition of “Changing Pavements.” She is no stranger to competitions as she also auditioned for America’s Got Talent and made it to the Top 40. She is special according to Jennifer Lopez during their Beatles challenge.

I just hope that both of them will make it to the top 12. Their talents just show that we Pinoys can be the best in the world. Being in the Top 24 is something to be very proud of as a Filipino. Amongst the thousands and thousands who auditioned to the toughest show on earth, Thia and Clint are one of the few exceptions! I will try not to miss any episodes of this season since next week, the voting starts. It gonna be one tough season. Good luck to all the contenders!
